Weekday and Seasonal Activities

Vacation Bible School is typically offered each summer in June. There are numerous opportunities for youth and adults to volunteer for this fun and exciting opportunity to teach children ages 3 years to 5th grade about the stories of the Christian faith.

 

Learning to Use My Bible class for 3rd graders.   Each year in September, we present 3rd graders with their very own Bible during worship. They are then invited to participate in a 5 week study to learn to use their Bibles.

 

UMKids is designed for children in 5th grade and usually meets the first Sunday of each month. We offer a snack supper followed by a variety of fun, learning, fellowship and mission opportunities.

 

Created by God-Sexuality Workshop is offered for 5th graders. This workshop is offered in January and is designed to teach growing young people about their bodies and the great gifts of our sexuality.

 

Upcoming 6th graders are invited to Confirmation classes, which usually begin in the fall. They will meet on Sunday evenings, share a meal and learn about what it means to become a Methodist and a member of First United Methodist Church, Conway. These young people will have a chance to visit other worship services, participate in mission projects and work together to continue their journey as Christians.
