Merry Mission Fair
Each November on the Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving, informative booths are set up by many charitable agencies. Booths may consist of items for sale, brochures and/or other informational materials. This is a great opportunity to purchase meaningful holiday gifts for friends and family as well as learn about non-profit organizations doing great work in our community. A light supper is offered for a minimal cost. Children’s activities are provided. There are wares to be purchased at the Country Craft table and the Kitchen Corner. There is also a silent auction with new, old and unusual gifts for bidding. Proceeds from this event help to support Volunteer in Mission trips and many other mission projects of the church.
Chili for Chile
Every January Sunday School classes, UMW circles, other groups and individuals volunteer to make pots of chili to be tasted and judged by all who attend. Cost to taste chili and submit a vote is minimal. Plaques are awarded for the best chili, most unique chili and showmanship. Be sure to get signed up to submit your own pot of chili. Proceeds from this event support the Crescendo Ministry in Santiago, Chile.
Chilly for Chile
Chilly for Chile: This homemade ice cream supper held during the summer months also supports Crescendo in Santiago, Chile. Bring your own traditional or exotic flavor for others to sample.
