Family Canoe Trips and Family Campouts

These fun outdoor activities are normally held in the spring and the fall to provide opportunities for the entire church to enjoy a slower pace, fresh air, family fun and Christian fellowship. Sponsored by the Outdoor Ministries Committee, the events have been well attended by people of all ages.

Amity

Amity is a gathering of older adults ages 50+ for fellowship, potluck and a variety of programs.  The group meets at noon on the second Monday of each month in the Fellowship Hall.  Guests are always welcome!

Travel plans are also made throughout the year to events and places close to home.  Overnight trips to Branson for Christmas and the Music Festival are also planned.

Softball and Volleyball

Softball Teams for men and women are organized in the spring to play in the Conway adult softball church league. Team registration is announced in the Witness. Whether you are a player or a spectator, it is great fun and fellowship with church friends. Volleyball Teams for men and women are organized in the spring.

Small Group Ministries

Small groups are gatherings of no more than 8-12 individuals for a specific length of time to engage in spiritual development and enrichment. Small groups are characterized by a stated mission and offer covenant-based study, prayer, and fellowship. The groups started in full swing in Fall 2007. Recreational Basketball and Volleyball

Recreation or “fun” is the expenditure of time in a manner designed for therapeutic refreshment of one's body or mind as defined by Wikipedia. So why not come and relieve some stress while giving your body exactly what it needs? At 7 p.m. each Monday night, the gym area in the Great Hall is used for a time of playing volleyball, and on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m., it's time for some hoops with the "old men's" recreational basketball group. Come join us! For more information, contact Recreation Intern Daniel Hope in the church office.
