PRAYER MINISTRIES
In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus told his disciples, “Men should always pray and not give up” (NIV).
Wednesday Day of Prayer
Our beautiful new chapel is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday for personal times of prayer and reflection. All are welcome to come before work, during lunch or after work and spend some one-on-one time with the Holy Spirit!
Sunday Morning Prayer Group
The Sunday Morning Prayer Group meets each week at 8 a.m. in the church library (Room 124) to pray for our pastors, leaders and teachers of our church, and for those who will come to worship and learn. Anyone is welcome to join the group in prayer at any time, whether it is every week or only once. Contact Wayne Gregory for more information.
First United Methodist Church Prayer Group
The First United Methodist Church Prayer Group meets in the church prayer room off the chapel at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. each Tuesday to pray for requests from the congregation. You may make prayer requests by placing your concerns in the prayer box located by the north entrance to the sanctuary or in the prayer box in the Great Hall lobby. This small group welcomes anyone who desires to come. Contact Dotty Robins.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
First United Methodist Church offers two opportunities for men to gather for prayer and fellowship.
A Men's Prayer Breakfast group meets at 7 a.m. every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall. Men of all ages are welcome.
A Sunday morning men’s prayer breakfast was started in 2008 and meets occasionally in the basement at 7:30 a.m. There will be a devotional period as well as fellowship with other men in the congregation. This group’s goal is to have a mission or service project once per quarter. These missions and service projects will vary. If you have any questions, please contact Mark Crone at 501-554-3687 or mscrone@sbcglobal.net.
