Adult Sunday School –
Programs for adults at First United Methodist Church are varied and plentiful. These activities range from Bible studies to Small Groups to men’s recreational basketball and campouts. Activities are available for adults of all ages, so come join us!
Building strong Christian relationships, creating an environment for spiritual growth, and supporting one another in Christian love is the heart of these weekly groups. We invite you to visit and explore the variety of classes that are offered on Sunday mornings from 10 to 10:50 a.m. for adults of all ages and stages of faith. Believing, Becoming, Belonging (B3)
A group of young adults who enjoy forming and deepening relationships with peers as they grow in faith.

Dorothy Robins-Light
A group of Couples and Singles in their 40-70’s. Highlights of the class each week are hymn singing, sharing prayer concerns, and Bible study discussion lead by class teachers, using the United Methodist Adult Bible Studies Series.

Faith In Action
An active group of couples with growing families. Join this open circle of friends to explore the Bible and a variety of issues of interest to the group through study and sharing. Activities include family meals together, baby showers, and mission projects.

Faithbuilders
An adult Sunday School class that alternates between Bible Study and Life Application studies. Outside of Sunday school, the class plans and participates in regularly scheduled church and community mission projects.

Forum
A diverse, inclusive and intellectually alive class of all ages of singles and couples, we discuss a variety of topics and issues (often ones that are different from, and even opposed to, our own), so that we might expand our intellectual horizon, social mission and theological consciousness.

Genesis
A group of adults interested in growing spiritually through biblical as well as topical studies.

George Hartje
A class of couples and singles, ages 50+, using the Adult Bible Studies Series to discuss scripture and lessons as they pertain to everyday life.

Gussie Scales
A group of women in our 50+ years, who enjoy gathering weekly for Bible study, mutual support and spiritual growth.

Koinonia
A class of mostly couples in our 40-50’s, studying a variety of topics with an emphasis on Bible study and fellowship. This class is actively involved in mission outreach together.

New Covenant
This small group of couples and singles in the 30’s-50’s use a variety of literature focusing on biblical and theological studies.

Open Door
A small group of mature women which opens each class with singing and a devotional. A regular teacher guides discussions using the Adult Bible Studies Series. Telephone participation is available. Please call the church at 501-329-3801 for information.

Round Table
This small group of adults, ages 50+, seeks biblical understanding in our contemporary world through shared leadership, guest speakers, and video presentations.
