College-Aged Sunday School Class

Led by Amy Shores, UCA Wesley Campus Minister

“A new step in your life and different than what you’re used to. I think you figure out the side of you that you didn’t think you had.” — Allyson Caruthers, Conway FUMC

College…a pivotal point in life, and we at First United Methodist Church are along for the journey.

Our College-Aged Sunday School Class is for anyone who has graduated high school thru their mid-20s. We have opportunities for students who attend school in the area, as well as those who go away for school. We know that this is a pivotal time in your life … and we want to be your plus one!

Let FUMC be your church home away from home!

College students are welcome at all of our church activities:

8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary, with music led by the First Service Singers.
9:05 a.m. Good News Celebration (Contemporary worship), with music led by the Praise Band.
10:00 a.m. Sunday School for all ages
11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary, with music led by the Chancel Choir

Small Groups

These form in the fall and spring and cover Bible Studies mixed with true Life Application. These groups last 6-8 weeks and usually meet later in the evenings. Besides fellowship, there is usually good food and coffee involved, too.

Participate in Worship

We love for College students to participate and be involved in our worship services.  We have a special College Sunday each fall to kick off the year. That Sunday, College students are invited to attend and help with worship. We also have a brunch between worship services that day. During the rest of the school year, our worship team will try to utilize interested students in leading and serving during worship.

Sunday School
Sunday school is a great place to get involved and engage with other people.  Not only do we have adult Sunday school classes that welcome college students and appreciate diversity, we also have a class specifically for college-aged people.  The class explores current events and life issues in light of our faith. It is held each Sunday at 10 a.m., either in the Fellowship Hall or the Parlor in the Trinity building.
